À propos WHrA
Reproductive health can be a source of uncertainty and anxiety for women with rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases. Underlying disease, culture, and treatment create additional challenges. The group addresses those uncertainties and provides Arabic-language information while encouraging routine reproductive-health discussions in rheumatology clinics.
The group connects interested rheumatologists across the Arab League to improve care and collaborate on preconception, pregnancy, fertility, postpartum, and menopause support for physicians and patients in Arabic.
Mission
- Promote awareness among rheumatologists and patients about reproductive health in rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases.
- Promote Arabic-language awareness about preconception, pregnancy, postpartum care, fertility, and menopause.
- Advocate early and regular discussion of reproductive-health concerns during rheumatology visits.
- Motivate and support patients in Arabic.
- Promote multidisciplinary care and reproductive-health clinics within rheumatology across Arab countries.
- Motivate rheumatologists to address reproductive-health concerns with adult patients.
- Create a platform for rheumatologists interested in women's and reproductive health and raise care to international standards.
- Encourage regional collaboration, experience sharing, data collection, analysis, and research.
Vision
- Reach adult patients with rheumatic disease across Arab countries and ensure reliable, current, accessible reproductive-health information in Arabic.
